About Us

The Cherokee Horn Story

Everyone uses the resources of the land. From drinking water, to materials for building homes to fuel for our homes, cars and industries, We have come to depend on them and depend on them daily to live and work comfortably.

There should always be a certain respect that comes with using resources that the earth provides for us Centuries before there was a DFW, the Cherokee lived on this land and had great respect for it. Even today, the Cherokee Nation is one of America's biggest proponents of ecological protection. They are more than a story to us. Their heritage is connected to many living residents and workers of this area including Cherokee Horn president, Jeff Watts.

We also looked for a symbol that represented the ethic of working hard, moving forward, and protecting the next generation. We chose the buffalo horn. The partners of Cherokee Horn have a deep and enduring respect for the earth. While discovering the resources in the shale, our goal is always to respect the environment and leave the land better than we found it for generations to come.
