Selecting the Drill Site

Typically, drill sites are located at least 500 feet from any occupied structure (either commercial or residential), with many cities requiring them to be 600 ft. If outside city limits, the Texas Railroad Commission requires drill sites to keep at least 330 feet away from any properties. For most effective production, companies generally try to drill one well for every 75 acres of a unit.
